Position: Kindergarten Teacher
Subject: Social Studies โ Around the World
Schedule: Mondays, 8:30 AM โ 2:00 PM
Location: Laguna Woods, CA
This is a 1-day/week position for the remainder of the school year, with strong potential to grow into a 4โ5 day role next school year.

Creative STEAM is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit learning center offering an innovative alternative to traditional schooling. We serve TKโ8th grade students in small-group, hands-on project based learning environments that emphasize curiosity, exploration, and real-world skills. Our programs are supported by community partnerships, fundraisers, and scholarships that expand access to meaningful education.
๐ Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic, warm, creative and experienced Kindergarten teacher who loves making learning engaging and joyful. Youโll guide young learners through an interactive social studies curriculum while supporting early literacy, math, and social-emotional development in a nurturing environment.
๐ Responsibilities
- Create engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons
- Teach beginning reading and math skills
- Support social-emotional growth and classroom community
- Use a variety of instructional methods and hands-on learning
- Communicate effectively with families and staff
- Assess student progress and developmental milestones
- Collaborate with a supportive, mission-driven team
๐ Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree and Multi-Subject Teaching Credential
- Strong understanding of child development and classroom management
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in elementary education and curriculum development
- Ability to maintain health, safety, and sanitation standards
