School Operations Manager

Creative STEAM Academy | Laguna Hills, CA
Full-Time | On-Site | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM | TK–12 Learning Center

Keep the Mission Moving.

Behind every thriving school is someone who makes sure the day actually works.

The teachers feel supported.
The schedules make sense.
The classrooms are covered.
The families feel heard.
The culture stays strong.
The team knows where to go, what to do, and who to count on.

At Creative STEAM Academy, we are looking for that person.

Creative STEAM Academy is seeking a confident, organized, people-smart Educational Operations Manager to help lead the daily rhythm of our campus. This is a hands-on campus leadership role for someone who loves education, understands school environments, can manage people and systems, and is not afraid to jump in wherever needed.

If you are the kind of person who can solve a scheduling issue, support a teacher, calm a concerned parent, find a substitute, step into a classroom when needed, and still keep the bigger mission in focus, you may be exactly who we are looking for.

About Creative STEAM Academy

At Creative STEAM Academy, we do not just teach subjects. We build humans.

Creative STEAM Academy is a progressive hybrid private homeschool learning center in Laguna Hills, CA, serving students through hands-on academics, project-based learning, enrichment, creativity, social-emotional development, and whole-child support.

We believe education should be meaningful, flexible, deeply human, and as unique as the students we serve. Our students thrive in a small-school environment where they are known by name, supported with intention, challenged with purpose, and encouraged to think critically, creatively, and confidently.

Our campus is intentionally different. We are not trying to recreate a traditional school model. We are building something more personal, more connected, and more responsive to students and families.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a strong campus leader who can help us strengthen our systems, support our team, serve our families, and keep the mission moving every day.

About the Role

The Educational Operations Manager is the person who helps keep our campus running smoothly, safely, and with purpose each day.

Working closely with and reporting to the Educational Director, you will help oversee daily campus operations, staff schedules, substitute coverage, teacher and administrative team coordination, family communication, student support, compliance follow-through, and overall school culture.

This role is both operational and relational. You will manage systems, schedules, and details, but you will also lead people, support teachers, communicate with families, and help protect the positive culture of our school.

This is not a sit-behind-a-desk-only position. This is a visible, hands-on leadership role for someone who is present, proactive, flexible, and ready to take ownership.

Support compliance with school policies, safety procedures, campus expectations, and educational standards.

Assist with calendars, program schedules, internal communication, family updates, and campus logistics.

Help improve systems and processes so the school operates more efficiently and consistently.

Support documentation, reporting, progress tracking, attendance, scheduling, and other administrative needs.

Help manage campus supplies, vendor communication, facility requests, and day-to-day operational details.

Family Communication and School Culture

Serve as a key point of contact for families regarding campus operations, schedules, school concerns, and general questions.

Communicate with families in a warm, professional, and solution-focused way.

Support family involvement through school events, workshops, meetings, and community-building opportunities.

Help maintain a school culture that is safe, respectful, inclusive, creative, and student-centered.
